P.I. Samantha Summers is asked to do a cameo in a remake of a Hollywood movie, but as the cameras roll for the film’s climactic scene, tragedy strikes – someone has replaced the prop gun for the real thing, leading to the death of the insufferable female star. A snowstorm shuts off the island, forcing Sam to head the investigation that has plenty of suspects. Every person associated with the film hated the dead woman,  including her husband, making Sam’s job one of the toughest she’s ever had.
