I grew up Wisconsin, which I use as the locale for most of my novels. I worked as a teacher, coach, and athletic director before becoming a video coordinator for 24 years in the NBA. That experience allowed me to travel to every major city in the US and some foreign countries, including a six-year stint when I lived in Canada. My experience there was one of the most positive in my life, due to the kind people and the city of Toronto. I have three grown-up children and five grandkids. Another work experience I had was at Disney World, where I was a photographer. I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UW-M. One of my favorite things about being a writer is doing research for all of my books. I live in Menasha, WI.
